ZonDot has no account, no identifier and no analytics, and it collects nothing about you. The only data that ever leaves your iPhone is an anonymous weather request for the city you choose.

Data collected

None. ZonDot does not collect or store any personal data. There is no account, no sign in, no profile, and no identifier of any kind.

Location

The app never asks for your location and cannot read it. There is no location code in the app at all, which is why iOS never shows a location prompt for ZonDot. You choose a city by name; that is all it knows.

Network

One kind of request, to the weather provider Open-Meteo: the forecast for the coordinates of the city you picked, and the text you type when searching for a city. No identifier is attached, because there is none. See Third-party services below.

Analytics & tracking

None. No usage counts, no events, no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking frameworks. Nothing about you is measured or shared with anyone for any purpose.

Children

ZonDot is not directed at children, and it collects no data from anyone, including children.

What stays on the device

Your settings and cached forecast are stored only in the app's own storage on your iPhone, never on a server:

Your cities, which one is selected, and which are pinned
Units, theme, language, app icon and the hand setting
The last forecast that arrived, so the app has something to show when the network is gone
A compact copy of that forecast for the home and lock screen widgets

Third-party services

ZonDot fetches its forecast from Open-Meteo and transforms that data under CC BY 4.0. The request contains only the coordinates of your chosen city and, when you search, the text you type. It carries no account, device identifier or advertising identifier. Open-Meteo's own privacy terms are published at open-meteo.com/en/terms. No other third party receives anything.

The forecast is a prediction, not a measurement, and it is not intended for decisions where safety depends on the weather.

Data retention and deletion

Because nothing is collected and there is no server, there is nothing for us to retain, and no request is needed to delete it. Everything the app keeps lives on your device for as long as the app is installed. Deleting the app removes all of it — your cities, settings and cached forecast — permanently, and nothing of yours remains anywhere else.
